Michael Mirasole is the author of Throttle On: Unstuck on the Way to the Arctic Ocean, a literary travel memoir about a solo motorcycle journey from Austin, Texas to the Arctic Ocean in the summer of 2024.

He is a licensed pilot, a lifelong drummer, and a former global supply chain executive in hi-tech. He learned to ride motorcycles as a kid from his older brother Dave, stopped for years, and came back to it when standing still stopped working.

He lives in Austin, Texas with two adult children who still answer his calls — most of the time.

Michael is currently at work on a second book.
